The Journey Home

Now that is just stinkin' early.

Catching the sunrise at the first stop for gas.

Beautiful fall colors...if you don't mind the bug guts on the windshield.

This was a fun sight to see on the road.

This was a scenic overlook somewhere in New Jersey.

This was the first picture from day two still in New Jersey.

This as close to seeing New York City as we got.

Saturday morning traffic. I'm not sure I could do this everyday.

Finally made it.

First glimpse of the motorhome in the storage lot.

The point at which the decision was made.

And while the deal was being brokered, I went to the beach.

Checking the tire pressure

One the road again!

Rest stop allong the Ohio Turnpike on the third day. We ended up stoping for the night in a Walmart parking lot in PA. Yup, true RVers now.

King of the road. Yup, I made him wear the Burger King hat.

A bonding moment between man and machine.

The Welcome committe at home.

The first road trip for everyone else.

Looks so much better sitting in this seat than the car following the motorhome for 5 states!

  1. Congratulations on the new member in your family. What made Dan do it? Probably easier to back in and out of the driveway! ; )

The reason I ask is there is a GMC Eastern States Rally coming up down in Elkhart, IN October 15 - 18. We have about 25 GMC's coming to the rally so you could check them all out. You are more then welcome to come if you want and you can email me at bstockholm@woh.rr.com for more info.

  4. I love your writing. The trip home sounded fun. We just bought a Glenbrook so we are new to the GMC as well. Looking forward to reading about your adventures. I saw the MI plates, where in MI are you? We are in Ortonville.
